BEER

about us

An evening two geeks, sharing the love for design, technology, startups and entrepreneurship met and really enjoyed the conversations. They did this a couple of times and enjoyed it every time!

Then a few more joined in and added their stories. BeerUX; ”A meetup built on the most honest conversations and candid stories” was born.

We are perhaps the only meetup in India, with no agenda.  We believe in the power of stories and the experiences shared by the attendees. We deeply value the conversations with each, and cherish the relationships built over time.

We have regular meetups. The shared values we have created over time, is for and driven by the community.

Our meetups are deliberately kept small in size to keep the conversations flowing.

Why we are different

A candid meet up with No agenda. No speakers. We value you and your experience more than anything else.
Memories

Great memories are a built in the experiences we have. A product, a service, a person, a moment. What drives it is you.

Narratives

Nothing serves as a better learning experience than personal and professional narratives. True learning is sharing both ways.

Experiences

Each of our lifeworld is driven by the experiences collected over time. We value it and would love you to share it.

Industry

We are discipline agnostic. Product , Design, Technology, Science, Arts, Startups are things that excite out community.

Our team.

We are bunch of do-ers, coders, designers, entrepreneurs, leaders, thinkers interested in community building.

What our attendees say

A few words about the meet up from our attendees across different meetups

The mantra behind the little professional success I’ve seen and the oodles of personal happiness I’ve been fortunate to have is the same – ‘Optimize for serendipity.’

BeerUX has helped me breathe this and put it into action in innumerable ways. The beauty of a curated, close-knit event like BeerUX is the dichotomy of knowing exactly what you’re getting into while knowing nothing about what it can lead to. I love it and highly recommend trying to attend one to anyone who’s creative, ambitious, and kind.

This is one event that I do not want to miss. The meet ups have led to many epiphanies and none of it would have been possible without the candid conversations that happen at these meetups.

What makes it most interesting is the people that come. There is always a surprise element, due to the curation. And no speaker format makes it easy for people to speak up.

Loved the first edition of BeerUX in Pune, became an immediate fan of the setup within the first few minutes itself. Was pleasantly surprised by the varied mix of people that’d congregated there! As someone who straddled a bit of UI, UX, frontend and sysadmin-ing, I usually had trouble putting myself in any particular bucket, but seeing multi-faceted folks who shared similar backgrounds was genuinely welcoming and thus I found no trouble opening up.

Walking into the meetup, I’d have not guessed I’d be ending the night with such diverse takeaways; from cool new tools to explore, to pros and cons of various workflows, to points to keep in mind while selling yourself, to gardening tips even… quite refreshing!

Beer UX has been one of the most novel and fresh meet-up concepts I’ve ever been a part of. It was a wonderfully laid back evening getting to know and chatting with folks from the industry, without any of the guardedness that arises at in-office meet-ups. I can’t wait for the next BeerUX!
